Our company philosophy revolves around saving, or the restoration and maintenance of the original fixture or product rather than disposing of it in a landfill. Before replacing ask yourself: “Even if I have tried everything I can think of to restore my fixture, does that mean it cannot be fixed?”
Today’s consumers are educated about sustainable practices. As a company, ASAP Quality Repair is unmatched in our techniques to save what is generally in good condition, restoring them to like new condition. We have kept a lot of good bath fixtures, countertops, appliances, fiberglass bathtubs and vinyl window frames out of landfills, and kept them in service for an extended lifetime. We feel this is the way forward to conserve our precious resources.
For example: It takes 1.85 gallons of water to manufacture the plastic in the average commercial water bottle. (Source:www.treehugger.com) Imagine how many gallons of water can be saved when you refurbish a 75 pound plastic or fiberglass bath tub or shower, instead of manufacturing a new one? We figure about 1,800 based on 24 gallons of water per 1 lb. of plastic. A new 50 lb. steel tub uses 1550 gallons just in steel, not to mention the energy used to fire porcelain onto the steel at 1500 degrees F. So how about our process?
Twelve gallons of water is used to produce enough coating to refinish one bath tub. Marble and granite are popular additions to homes and their beauty surpasses anything man made. Respecting the millions of years it takes to form this natural product, we repair natural stone tiles and slabs. When the stone shows some wear and tear, we re-seal or repair chips and cracks in the Marble and Granite products. (See our gallery for pictures of our work!) Our company has been used in many historic homes and buildings in Seattle to refurbish fixtures without refinishing or replacing.
P.S. We do not advocate hugging trees, they are poky. Hug your loved ones instead.
